UW Sustainable Management Alumni Present Capstone Projects at WSBC 2022 Conference

UW Sustainable Management Program Team · Tue Jan 17 2023

In November, three UW Sustainable Management master’s degree alumni and current student, Erin Bauer, traveled to Green Bay, Wisconsin to attend the Wisconsin Sustainable Business Council 2022 Conference. The alumni, Karleen Kordas, Laura Loucks, and Carter O’Brien, presented their capstone project research and shared insights about their time in the master’s degree program.

Dr. Amanda Goetsch, program manager for UW Sustainable Management, kicked off the session with an overview of the online UW Sustainable Management bachelor’s, master’s, and certificate programs.

In the capstone course, UW Sustainable Management bachelor’s and master’s students gain valuable, practical experience through a semester-long fieldwork project. Students may complete the project at their current place of employment, or arrange for online project work with an external organization. The capstone is an opportunity for students to reflect on everything they’ve learned in the program by designing a project that aligns with their career goals in sustainable business.

Erin Bauer, a master’s degree student in UW Sustainable Management, summarized the capstone presentations on the WSBC blog.
