Working together we can achieve a sustainable future.

In 1987, the United Nations Brundtland Commission defined sustainability as “meeting the present needs of society without compromising the needs of future generations.” Today, more organizations recognize their role in conserving the planet’s resources and improving the communities in which they do business.

  • Graduate with 21st century sustainability skills.

Business leaders from companies such as Ford Motor Company, SC Johnson, Johnson Controls, and Kohl’s helped design the curriculum—so that you’ll graduate with the sustainability skills employers seek in the 21st century workforce.
  • Complete coursework online, when and where you want.

Our students often say the online format is a big factor in their ability to earn a degree or certificate. You can watch lectures, participate in online forums, and do homework whenever it’s convenient for you.
  • Achieve your goals with a University of Wisconsin education.

Our campus partnerships allow us to offer programs that combine the diverse expertise and resources of the UW System, one of the largest and most widely respected public higher education systems in the country.

Taking the SMGT 780: Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) course helped me to determine my career goals post-graduation. Coming from a business and marketing background, it enabled me to see how much my skill set can make an impact to help corporations and their stakeholders pursue sustainable change together for a better future.
